WAIP? KALO FESTIVAL 2010
Waip? Foundation, in partnership with Limahuli Garden and Preserve, will host a Kalo Festival; This is a fundraiser for the Waip? Community
“E Ola N? Iwi i? K?kou”, theme of this grassroots event, means to honor the
traditions of our ancestors and will focus on sharing everything about kalo.

Ho`olaule`a in the big field at Waip?, features workshops, educational booths, tastings and demos; biggest kalo competitions and recognition of kupuna mahi`ai Kalo (Kalo farmers); lo`i tours, food and craft vendors, keiki fun and games, a
cooking contest, and Kalo art contest. Music, presentations and movies into the evening.
Kitchen and Poi Mill, and will be a minimum to “0” waste event, so
bring your own plates and utensils, and do not use styrofoam.
Entry fees: $3 for adults/$1 for kids under 12.
