MARCH 5 DEADLINE: OPEN CALL TO ALL KAUAI ARTISTS
We are seeking artists who would like to display their art in the “Art Alley” at the Kauai Orchid and Art Festival in Hanapepe on Friday, April 1 from 12-9 pmand and Saturday, April 2 from 9am4pm. The “Art Alley” will be set up in the county lot on Hanapepe Road (the lot is located across the street from Angela Headley Island Art Gallery and has the classic truck painted by Giorgio at the front of the lot). The Hanapepe Economic Alliance will be providing 10×10 tented spaces to artists who want to display their artwork. This is a great opportunity to get exposure for your artwork. The Orchid & Art Festival is a well established event with a large number of attendees over the two days. Please email our coordinator, Keiko Napier (k.1426@yahoo.com) for more information and to reserve your space. Waimea Plantation Lifestyle Tour
Ongoing – Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday,
volunteer guides lead walking tours through
the Waimea Plantation cottages and the Waimea
Sugar Company “camp” houses, which date from the
turn of the 20th century. Tours take approximately
90 minutes and are limited to 12 people.
