fahy bailey

Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Fahy visited Hawaii in 1969 and never left. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from University of Hawaii with a Ph.D. in psychology in the field of cross-cultural psychology, funded in part by the EWCenter at the UH Manoa. She was Director of the Chaminade University Counseling Center and worked as a psychologist at the Kalihi-Palama Mental Health Clinic in Honolulu. In 1976, she met and married Cliff Bailey and moved to Kauai in 1981. Fahy worked for the DOE. In 1987, she opened her private psychology practice until she retired in 2018. A Lifetime Member of the American Psychological Association and awardee of “Provision of Psychological Services to A Rural Community” from the Hawaii Psychological Association, Fahy finds wonderful reward in volunteering.
