LYNETTE TABA

Born and raised in Ewa, Oahu, I attended Campbell High School and the University of Hawai’i, majoring in Business Administration. After graduation, I worked at various hotels, including the Hyatt Regency Waikiki and the Kauai Surf (now the Sonnesta Hotel). I moved to Kauai in 1978 to start a new chapter in my life. My passion for sewing began in the 7th grade when I had my first sewing lesson from my Japanese school sensei. I remember making my clothes for school, even sewing a prom dress. Since moving to Kauai, I have learned the art of quilting. I joined the GIAC a few years ago and have been enjoying making tops and crafts for the BoroBoro Boutique, which are sold at pop up craft fairs and at EKK. I am also involved in the Kauai Quilt Guild and facilitator for the Fun Sew Group that meets at Kalaheo Missionary Church
