JULY 2016 ARTS & CULTURE EVENTS

AIS Application for Teaching Artists (Deadline extended):
The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (HSFCA) is now accepting applications from experienced teaching artists on Kauai for its Artistic Teaching Partners (ATP) Roster.  Kauai artists and non-profit arts organizations in the artistic disciplines of dance, drama (includes puppetry and storytelling), literary arts, music, or the visual arts may apply.  Applicants must exemplify both artistic excellence as well as teaching excellence.
Successful applicants would be eligible to work with schools that are applying for Artists in the Schools (AITS) grants in school year 2017-2018.  AITS grants support in-depth, standards-based arts residencies in K-12 public and public charter schools.  Emphasis is on the engagement of students in artistic processes.
Step 1 in the application process is to submit the Letter of Intent form and a current resume by July 1, 2016 to HSFCA.  Detailed application guidelines, instructions and forms are on the HSFCA website:
