RULES

1. Garments must be made from at least 80% “trash” materials (recyclable or reused materials that would otherwise be thrown away or recycled).

2. Garments can include marine debris, cardboard, steel/tin, aluminum, plastics, paper cartons, chipboard, newspaper, mixed paper, paper bags, found objects and other materials. For this contest, green waste and natural materials (sticks, plant or animal material, etc) are NOT considered trash, please refrain from using them.

3. Binding materials may be used to hold the pieces together. These might include glue, tape, string, twine, staples, and other materials. These materials may be purchased new and should be used sparingly.

4. If your garment materials are attached to a fabric base, this cannot be bought new. This is a waste divergence contest, please purchase from a second-hand store or use something from your own or a friend’s closet.

5. Contest pieces must be durable enough to wear throughout the Trashion Show event.
